LifeScience Alley Names Ambient Clinical Analytics as a Finalist
LifeScience Ally® named several companies for this year’s New Technology Showcase in recognition of their groundbreaking advancements in healthcare technology. Ambient Clinical Analytic’s was chosen as a finalist for their decision support tools, AWARE and Mayo Clinic YES Board.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – (September 24, 2014) – LifeScience Alley® named 10 companies to this year’s New Technology Showcase, which recognizes groundbreaking advancements in healthcare technology and provides a forum for companies to present new products to the Medical Alley community at the LifeScience Alley conference. Each of the 10 winners will have exhibit space; three of the 10 selected organizations will present during the luncheon plenary session. The conference will take place on November 19 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis. Mayo Clinic has joined as the New Technology Showcase Partner for the third consecutive year.
During the luncheon general session, Ativa Medical of St. Paul, Minn., will discuss its practice of developing point-of-care diagnostic technologies such as MicroLAB. Magic Arms for the World will demonstrate its WREX, or Wilmington Robotics Exoskeleton, a 3D printed exoskeleton designed for pediatric patients. Additionally, Minneapolis-based Zimmer Spine, Inc. will be presenting the Virage™ OCT Spinal Fixation System, used for fusion procedures of the occipitocervical spine, cervical spine and the thoracic spine.
These organizations will be joined in the New Technology Showcase area of the exhibit hall by seven other finalists: QwikLife, Inc. of Minneapolis presents its QwikLife urgent care option which provides in-home nurse visits and telemedicine capabilities to connect with doctors; Transfuse Solutions of Rochester, Minn. is improving patient care and reducing hospital expenditures by eliminating unnecessary blood transfusions with its Bloodhound™ transfusion methodology; Ambient Clinical Analytics of Rochester, Minn. discusses analytics-based clinical decision support tools with the AWARE and Mayo Clinic YES Board presentations; EmboMedics of Maple Grove, Minn. will present its ResoSphere technology, Resorbable Embolization Materials for use in tumor treatments; IMRIS – a company out of Minnetonka, Minn. – is proud to present its Horseshoe Headrest with IMRIS InSitu™ Wireless Coil, for use in MRI and CT scans; Minneapolis-based MesoFlow will introduce attendees to its microfluidic channel for cleaning blood and stem cells in the cryopreservation process and lastly Preceptis Medical, Inc. of Plymouth, Minn. will discuss its pediatric ear-surgery tool, the Hummingbird™ Tympanostomy Tube System.
